About the Farm

Cinnamon Ridge Farm offers boarding and riding instruction on our horse or yours. We have a nice selection of quality horse and ponies for sale. We host on site VHSA and BHSA associate horse shows, casual schooling shows and various clinics. Cinnamon Ridge is a located on 11 rolling acres with all board fencing and a large blue stone riding ring. The stable has large stalls with mats, a wash rack, tack room and office. There are trails leading from the property and the farm is close to both Rappahnnock and Old Dominion hunts.

About Kathi Fillmore

Kathi Fillmore offers over 35 years of experience in developing horses and riders. Many of her students have won classes and championships at the national level and many of the horses that were bred, broke and trained by her have become stars, winning championships at the national level as well as national year end awards. Her philosophy of teaching and maintaining the basics of horsemanship help develop a well rounded horse and rider. Students are taught from the ground up covering all aspects of horsemanship. She teaches riders to be accomplished horse "people" and many of her students are now trainer's themselves. As a active horse show judge, she hold her USEF 'R' in hunter breeding and has many years of experience judging hunter, hunter equitation and jumper events. Kathi offers a look inside the reasoning behind a winning ride and what the judges are looking for. If you ever wondered how could improve your placing, a lesson with Kathi may enlighten you.

Lessons

Lessons are offered on our horses & ponies or yours. We teach Hunt Seat, Hunter Equitation and Jumpers. Whether you are interested in lessons for competition or just for the pleasure of riding, a good safe foundation is important for both you and your horse. All levels and all ages are welcome. 1/2 hour private lessons are $45.00 and hour privates are $65.00. Discounted packages are available.

Local Show Series

We host a series of 6 VHSA/BHSA Hunter/Jumper Horse Shows scheduled once a month during the spring, summer and fall. Points for the shows are eligable for the BHSA and VHSA Associate Program as well as the Cinnamon Ridge Year End Award program.
